About this event
Join us for a refreshing and sociable countryside walk in the heart of the Peak District.
Starting at Milldale we will follow the River Dove along a steep sided valley to Hartington. In Hartington we’ll be stopping at the Devonshire Arms for Sunday lunch to replenish our appetites before returning to our starting point. The Devonshire Arms is a traditional, dog-friendly pub serving classic favourites, seasonal dishes and a fine selection of local ales.
The walk is approximately 5 miles long each way, taking around 2 hours in each direction. It is mostly flat and suitable for a steady, enjoyable pace. Well behaved dogs are very welcome to join us, too!
Please note in the event of adverse weather conditions we may need to change the date for this walk.
