Shakespeare by the Trent

Join us for a wonderful summer evening by the River Trent as we enjoy a great open-air theatre performance on Victoria Embankment.

Listen to the woes of Prospero by the ambling River Trent at this outdoor performance of The Tempest. The actors are from the locally acclaimed amateur Nottingham Shakespeare Company.

Bring a blanket, chair and nibbles if you so desire as we enjoy the works of the Bard.

Once our thespian cravings have been fulfilled, we’ll retire to The Embankment pub near Trent Bridge to muse over the Muse!

Your host will be Adam for this evening – he will be there to welcome everyone and help you find the group.

We’ll meet at 6:30pm next to the Art Deco Bandstand on the Victoria Embankment. We’ve added a pin to the bandstand as our meeting point, but the performance itself takes place on the grass area immediately beside it.

Most of our members come along on their own, so you’ll be in great company. Our events are designed to help people connect naturally in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, making it easy to meet new people and enjoy the evening together.
